Successful hunters that fill their tag now have a unique opportunity to return to their heritage as food providers and give back to their community to help the less fortunate.

Donations of wild game meat from individuals from 2001 through 2011 have reached incredible totals at 41,730 pounds, providing over 166,920 quarter pound servings or meals. In 2011, our program brought in 1,523 pounds of wild game meat (Venison, Elk, Buffalo) totaling 6,092 quarter pound servings.  Click here for more detailed stats and program sponsors.

Your monetary donations are need to cover the cost of processing, packaging, freezing, distribution and transportation of the meat.  The meat is then available at no cost to needy clients through our emergency food box program.  With your generous support, we can stop hunger in its tracks. 

Target Hunger - Stop Hunger in its Tracks with the Northern Arizona Food Bank!There are five ways that you can support Northern Arizona Food Bank's Hunters for the Hungry program:

   1) A donation of Wild and Domestic Meat.

   2) A Monetary Donation specifically to support the Hunters for the Hungry program through our Food Bank.

   3) Purchase your Hunting Gear and a portion of the purchase is donated to the Northern Arizona Food Bank.

   4) Sign up to receive a Coin Can or conduct a Pledge Drive.

   5) Talk with your fellow hunters, neighbors, and those you work with about our food banks program.  Ask them to join you in helping the less fortunate.
