| Successful hunters that fill their tag now have a unique opportunity to
return to their heritage as food providers and give back to their
community to help the less fortunate. Donations of wild game meat
from individuals from 2001 through 2006 exceeded 27,000 pounds, providing
over 108,000 quarter pound servings or meals. In 2006
our program brought in 4,6241 pounds of wild game meat (Venison, Elk, Buffalo )
totaling 18,564 quarter pound servings. This is over
a 20% or 1,000 pound increase from the prior year providing our Food Bank with lots of protein meals for
those in need. We'd like to thank all the
participating hunters in your continued support of this
great program. |

Your
monetary donations
are need to cover the cost of processing, packaging, freezing,
distribution, and transportation of
the meat. The meat is then available at no cost to needy clients through our
emergency food box
program. With your generous support, we can stop
hunger in its tracks.
